Basement Renovation (FINAL PICTURES YET TO BE TAKEN)
This Kanata home renovation began with a professionally rendered 3D layout, setting the foundation for a well-planned and precisely executed transformation. Construction started immediately after permit approval, beginning with framing, HVAC, rough-in plumbing, and electrical work. ESA inspections were completed early, followed by soundproof insulation and full drywall installation, including mudding and priming of all walls and ceilings. Once city inspections for framing, plumbing, and HVAC passed, the project moved into the finishing stages—covering electrical completions and material selections for tile, click-vinyl flooring, paint colours, shower glass frame, baseboard type, and door layout.
Finishes & Flooring
With the core structure and systems in place, flooring was installed throughout, including premium click-vinyl and tile. This stage also included final ESA inspection and back framing for hardware such as handles and door stoppers.
Carpentry & Paint
Final carpentry brought the space together with baseboard installation, door fittings, and full interior painting. Touch-ups were completed with precision to ensure a flawless finish throughout the basement.
Fixtures & Final Details
Key installations included the shower glass, toilet, vanity, LED mirror, shower fixtures, reducers, and access panels. Old carpeting was removed, and a complete clean-up was performed in preparation for the final inspection.
Lifestyle Features
Signature features like a sleek electric fireplace and custom wet bar elevate the space with warmth, style, and function—adding the perfect finishing touches to this fully reimagined lower level.
Click-vinyl and tile flooring were installed, and final electrical work—including lighting and ESA sign-off—was completed.
