Basement Renovation
This Barrhaven basement renovation began with a detailed 3D-rendered design, setting the foundation for a well-organized and expertly executed transformation. Once permits were approved, construction moved quickly into framing, HVAC installation, and rough-ins for plumbing and electrical. Early ESA inspections ensured compliance, followed by the installation of soundproof insulation and full drywall application, including mudding and priming of all walls and ceilings. After successful city inspections for framing, HVAC, and plumbing, the focus shifted to finishing details—ranging from final electrical work to material selections for tile, hardwood flooring, paint colours, glass wall framing, custom railing design, and trim profiles.
Finishes & Flooring
With the structural work complete, hardwood floors were installed across the main living spaces, along with tile in wet areas and click-vinyl where appropriate. This stage also included final ESA approval and back framing elements like door stops, hardware, and access panels.
Carpentry & Paint
Custom carpentry gave the basement its final shape, including hardwood stairs, doors, baseboards, and a bespoke flush-mount stair railing inspired by open staircase concepts. The entire basement was painted with a carefully selected palette, followed by detailed touch-ups to ensure a polished, high-end finish.
Fixtures & Final Details
Final installations included the shower glass, steam shower fixtures, toilets, vanities, LED mirrors, reducers, and all remaining bathroom hardware. Old carpeting was removed, and the space underwent a full professional clean-up in preparation for final inspection.
Lifestyle Features
This basement is packed with luxury elements including a fully equipped home theatre with a raised platform, a glass-enclosed gym, a wet bar and dry bar with custom cabinetry, and a dedicated sauna and steam shower—delivering a true at-home retreat designed for wellness, entertainment, and elevated everyday living.
Hardwood, tile, and vinyl floors were installed, along with custom stair railings and final ESA sign-off for electrical finishing.

Fixtures, Final Touches & Inspection
Shower glass, LED mirrors, vanities, and gym glass walls were installed, followed by paint, hardware, full cleanup, and final inspection to complete the renovation.
