Basement Renovation
This Findlay Creek basement renovation was designed to transform a blank lower level into a comfortable, sound-insulated living space with modern functionality. The project began with permit approval and advanced quickly through structural framing, HVAC setup, and rough-ins for both plumbing and electrical systems. ESA inspections were completed early, followed by the installation of soundproof insulation to minimize noise transfer between levels. Once city inspections for framing, HVAC, and plumbing were passed, the team moved into drywall, mudding, and full wall and ceiling priming. The final layout and finish choices focused on delivering a space that balances quiet retreat with modern utility.
Finishes & Flooring
Click-vinyl flooring was selected for its durability and natural tone, offering visual continuity across the main living area, bedroom, and bathroom. The clean, soft palette paired with recessed lighting gave the basement an open, airy feel.
Carpentry & Paint
Custom carpentry brought in smooth door transitions, closet shelving, and elegant trim work throughout the space. A wet bar with dark cabinetry and a marble-look counter was added as both a visual feature and a functional prep zone. Walls and millwork were painted in a warm white, enhancing light reflection and a clean, polished aesthetic.
Fixtures & Final Details
The full bathroom was outfitted with a modern white vanity, quartz countertop, LED mirror, and a glass-enclosed shower with built-in shelving. All final hardware, including reducers, towel bars, and bathroom accessories, was installed before final cleaning and inspection.
