Basement Renovation
This Barrhaven basement renovation began with a professionally rendered 3D layout and moved swiftly into construction following permit approval. The project progressed through structural framing, HVAC installation, rough-ins for plumbing and electrical, and initial ESA inspections. With soundproof insulation installed and city inspections passed for framing, HVAC, and plumbing, the team advanced to drywall installation, mudding, and full priming of all walls and ceilings. The final design was brought to life through careful material selections, including tile finishes, click-vinyl flooring, door layouts, baseboard profiles, and a cohesive paint palette.
Finishes & Flooring
The main living areas were finished with durable click-vinyl flooring to create warmth and continuity, while the bathroom was tiled with marble-look porcelain for a bright, elegant touch. A dedicated TV wall was framed out in the living space, and open stairs were built to visually expand the basement footprint.
Carpentry & Paint
Custom carpentry work included baseboards, interior doors, and detailed trim throughout the space. The wet bar cabinetry features dark wood tones and a stone-look countertop, adding both function and contrast to the soft neutral palette used on the walls and ceilings.
Fixtures & Final Details
Final elements included the installation of a wall-mounted LED mirror, a modern vanity, a toilet, and a spacious glass-enclosed shower with a built-in bench. Back framing for hardware, reducers, access panels, and a full professional cleanup were completed before the final inspection.
Lifestyle Features
This renovation includes a bright living area with TV wall, a modern wet bar, a sleek bathroom with walk-in shower and bench, a private bedroom, and an open stair design that enhances the flow and openness of the space. Additionally, a custom shelving unit was built in the finished section of the garage, offering practical storage with a clean finish.
